I have once again partnered my brand, JG16, with Merit to design and sell high quality products that help kids get to college. Through your support of this special collaboration, every dollar of your purchase will go directly to funding college scholarships, and I will match 100% of the sales, dollar for dollar. That means that a $29.99 t-shirt = $59.98 for the college scholarship fund. Through Merit's FATE Program, currently supporting 200 Detroit youth, students work on real-life business projects which allow them to discover that they can create their own futures. If the students complete the program, they are guaranteed up to $8,000 in college scholarships, and could receive up to $20,000 over six years.

Last year, through your support, we were able to provide four-year college scholarships to the students who collaborated on the collection, as well as raised scholarship dollars for many other students at the FATE program, bringing the total to over 50 students from Detroit who have been granted scholarships through this partnership.

This year, five amazing FATE students - Makalani, Alyssa, Rahmani, Elijah, and Samiya - collaborated with me and graphic designer, Karl Nilsson, to develop a special collection of products that speak to our love for Detroit.
